With the launch of Google Drive, the company’s productivity suite formerly known as Docs, Google is giving every user 5Gb of free storage space “in the cloud” to access whenever they like. But it’s also taking a page from the previous dominant player in cloud storage, DropBox, by placing a folder on users’ computers or smartphones that automatically synchronizes, giving you free access to everything you own wherever you are at any time.
